Sensors

Logic of naming sensors in VW-group is simple it contains "G" (german "Geber") + sensor number. The sensor number is unique. Here you can find fitting location, connectors and pins description, some information about sensors signals.

To our mind, sensors information is reference, so there is only simple search by sensor number.

Audi A8 4E (2002 -). G185 Описание

I The accelerator pedal position sender 1 (G79) and accelerator pedal position sender 2 (G185) are

accommodated in the accelerator pedal module on the accelerator pedal.

I The sensors transmit the accelerator pedal sender (driver input) independently of each other

(redundancy principle) to the Motronic control unit (J623).

I The engine control unit converts the voltage values of the angle senders into percentages

of 5 Volts and displays the percentages (5 Volts of the signal wire corresponds to 100%).

These measured values are located in display group 62 zones 3 and 4 of the

   engine control unit:

   Zone 3: Sender 1

Tolerance range of 12...92% is not fully utilized

   Zone 4: Sender 2

Tolerance range of 4..0.49% is not fully utilized

The value in zone 3 must always be roughly twice the value in zone 4.
